Modal dialogs, or pop-up windows, are very handy when you have important contect and want to be shown only when the user clicks on a button or link, like this: Click Me For A Very Basic Modal
Reveal Modals can be also nested or can contain media such as an embedded video, audio, image etc.!

Tooltips are a quick way to provide extended information on a term or action on a page.
Tooltips can be positioned on the "tip-bottom", which is the default position, "tip-top", "tip-left", or "tip-right" of the target element by adding the appropriate class to them. On a small device, the tooltips are full-width and bottom aligned. Also, this tooltip will only show on large screens and this one is disabled for touch events.
